NCDC chases away students from school premises in Calabar

The decision of Cross Rivet State Governor, Prof  Ben Ayade to reopen schools has been thwarted by officials of Nigera Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) 
Report has it that the officials have swoop in and chased away students of West African People’s Institute (WAPI) who arrived at 8am today Tuesday 16 June 2020 to resume school.
The school was among those in the three Senatorial Districts the State Governor directed the previous week to resume on a trial basis.
The others are Government Secondary School, Igoli Ogoja, in the North Senatorial District and Government Secondary School, Ikom in the Central Senatorial District.
To prepare the students for the resumption, the Governor had last week unveiled the distribution of 300,000 Personal Protection Equipment, PPE to school children as the State intended on opening some schools this week.
Meanwhile, students of West African Peoples’ Institute in Calabar could be seen helplessly stranded outside the school premises.
